20' Repower Question

I'm wondering what effect a larger HP (heavier) I/O will has on the performance of the 20' hull? I've heard of V6 I/O repowers and am wondering about the extra weight of the larger engine. Does anyone know how the 20 Seafari performs with V6 i/o power? Do the decks get wet from water coming in the scuppers? Any info on performance/speed? Handling? Issues?

Anyone know of any V8 I/O powered 20 hulls?
