Default Thiefs tried to steal my kicker off the Tsunami

Anyone know of a realistic alarm system for a boat that is stored on a trailer many miles from home?
I just got a call from the place where I keep my boat and was told that some dirtbags almost got away with stealing the T8 Yamaha kicker off the back of my 23 Tsunami.
They somehow were able to break in half the heavy square bracket that slides over the clamps, that prevents them from being loosened.
They also had removed the stainless bolts that bolted the kicker to the one piece bracket that is mounted to the transom.
I keep the boat almost 400 miles away from home on the great lakes, and is stored in my buddys marine and boatyard. He lives in a house right next to the boats, and he found the motor hanging by a thread.
He removed it and brought it into his shop for the duration until I get back up in the spring.
You would think it was safe in a place where the people live and customers come and go at all hours but in this world of slap on the wrist punishment,I guess anything is possible.
If I find out who it is they'll wish that They did it to someone else.I think they may try and repent for their deeds.Legs and hands smashed with a hammer don't heal well, and I will not hesitate to dole out that punishment.

Anyone know of any good alarm systems, maybe one that can call my cell,or take a photo of the garbage committing the act,so I know who to target?
