Default 27 Race boat

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the welcome! I'll try to answer a few questions, First, yes I consider the spray rails a must (I'm not a builder, but...) as you see she is narrow, in a following sea she does want to dig. Obviously, if you only race, and have her kicked up, there's not a whole lot of need for them. I did a lot of scuba diving so we had a lot of weight onboard. I'm not sure of exact width at transom waterline, I think right around 6'(I'll measure next time I'm home). As far as a bracket goes, I would be a little leery, remember that "long and skinny quote"? I do not know how she would tolerate the center of gravity being moved back that much. And trust me on this point, I have NEVER!!!! ridden on an outboard like this one, I've run through oceans that Sportfishing boats had to slow down for. Hope this helps.

Have a great day,
Richard
