The Kennedy's did have very good taste in boats; I used to see John frequently in Lewis Bay (Hyannis, MA) on their 20' SeaCraft SF (of course this was from our 23). Unfortunately, we all know the the tragedy of he and his two passengers; I was running our 23 early morning from from Bass River to Boston the morning after and still had not heard the news; remember wondering what all the aircraft and CG presence in Buzzards Bay was all about.
