Default ungelcoated glass in the weather?

this wonderfull weather we have been having has ripped two tarps off my boat and the ungelcoated glass work in the bilg keeps getting wet and holding water. dumb question ... is this going to be a problem for me or is the uncoated glass going to be fine with rain water sitting on it and then sun hitting it? or do i need to keep it tarped over better?

thanks and sorry for what might be a dumb question?
