Power pole on 20 SF?

I'm thinking of installing a power pole on my 20sf and wondering if anyone has any advice or experience with this? I have a hermco bracket on the back of mine with a jack plate, so the bracket itself sticks out about 2 feet. Wondering where the best place to mount it would be? Would it be safe to mount directly to the bracket itself, or will reach over the bracket if mounted directly to transom...? Any thoughts/advice appreciated!!
