Default Open transom cover.

Thought some of you guys with older Seacrafts with open transoms might be interested in this cover I made.
I have been working on the engine cover for my 1988 25' Sea Vee.

As you can see, open transom which allows water to splash in while drifting or backing up offshore. Decided to go with a two piece cover. The bottom piece will be attached to the boat with screws and the top part will hinge on the bottom piece.

Started by making a female mold for the bottom piece from scrap plywood I had laying around. Used some leftover body filler to make the radius. I will shoot it with primer and auto paint next week then wax it and make the part. The recessed area will allow the motors to be tilted almost all the way up for transport or whatever. I left enough of space under the bottom for your feet or to allow for cleaning etc...
