The 22 foot mako I rode in last year would pound badly in a buzzards bay chop that wouldn't bother a 20 foot Seacraft much. I had a very slow ride - maybe 8 knots- in a head sea on that mako that I believe I could have run at 17-18 knots in my 20 foot Seacraft. But the mako rolls less at rest.
