It doesn't look good.
Why a pair of young boys try a Gulf Stream crossing is unthinkable. I made many crossings in these waters but never in a 19 footer, never alone, never without an epirb, never without a float plan etc etc. This tragedy defies all safety precautions. The Gulf Stream is powerfull. I have had the shit kicked out of me in my 23' SeaCraft more than all toes & fingers counted! Prayers go out to their families.
