Special Thanks to CSC Members
Good morning. My name is Barry (CSC Fishlips56) and I live in Geneva, Fl., about 30 miles from Area 442. Recently I contacted Ken (No Bones) about a 1975 23' Sea Craft inboard I was interested in. The boat was located in Tavenier, Fl. and I couldn't schedule a road trip to inspect it. Ken put me in touch with (65Bowrider). Skip and Carla graciously went and viewed the boat and sent me 40 pictures. Unfortunately, I didn't pull the trigger on the purchase, but I will eventually own another Sea Craft. I am an avid viewer of the CSC site, but seldom post (some of you guys scare me). I have owned and cosmetically/mechanically restored numerous boats (mostly 20' Sea Crafts, 17 & 21' Makos and 13 - 17' Whalers), but nothing like the structural projects other members undertake. You guys amaze me with the time commitment and perseverance to see the projects through.
I hope to make it to the November gathering and meet Carla, Skip and some of the other CSC members. I met Ken when Kenny Jr. bought my 1987 23' Sceptre a couple years ago. I ran in to Bushwacker at the Sanford Marina boat ramp on one of his St Johns River adventures. Matt (Wavelength) and a friend bought my 1974 20' SF a while back and another member posted about purchasing a 1979 20' Seafari I owned (my first Sea Craft). If anyone needs someone to look at or pickup something in the Central Florida area, I would gladly like to assist. Thank you again CSC members. Current Fleet (1979 13' Whaler, 1988 17' Mako Angler, 1992 1820 Robalo, 1974 23' T Craft-actually my brothers boat that I have stored) Sea Craft to be determined. |
