Default Bilge pumps

Replaced my Tsunami (Atwood) 800 gph manual bilge pump which is secured port side of keel, with 3/4” outlet flowing out port side stern.

Also found a dead Rule 750 gph with an old style float switch starboard side of keel. Found a new Rule 800 gph, 3/4” outlet but it does not require a switch. This one cycles every two and a half minutes for one second to determine if water is present. If not turns off and cycles again.

The three position rocker switch at dash is up manual for port. The center is off (or constant power to automatic float?) and down I assume would be manual starboard. Don’t believe starboard pump/float worked since I bought the boat. This new style Rule is $56 and free shipping. Any opinions? TIA
