Default Porta Bracket on a 20

Good morning!

There is a 20 I/O on the side of the road locally and the price is right. I need another project like i need a hole in the head but ive always admired the seacraft lines and reputation.

Ive searched the forum to see if anyone has done a porta bracket with a 150-175 outboard. Not seeing much of anything. Most of the brackets seem to be the armstrong style for the flotation.

Id welcome opinions as to if a porta bracket would be a good option or if the flotation is critical.

The floors are shot in the boat so raising them in the process of restoring them is a given. I've done a full restoration on our existing boat involving stringers floors and paint.

I run the back bays of new jersey in a 20' roballo currently. i like the concept of the porta bracket as the water depth can be a problem.

Thanks

Fretz
