Don V, three different bracket manufacturers gave me thickness requirements of 2.5 , 3 , and 3 inches. Heck if I know? I certainly also believe that it will be a bit thick. What was everyone else being told. FYI I’m going to go with a Zuke 300 29 in shaft. 32 in setback on the bracket and a dual flotation pod. Now all of that stress will be dispersed to the corners of the transom. I will need to aggressively tie them in to the hull sides and also to the 2 main stringers to disperse the forces. Of course Design and practice are most of the time at odds. Thoughts?
