Default Bracket Performance

What a debate could be had with regards to the performance of a bracketed o/b...

Once and for all: Is a 23' Seacraft Tsunami a good candidate for a bracket ?

From my marine community and here I've heard it all: " Yes it's great. No, it sucks. It porpoises. Poor manuerability. Poor reverse-ability. The greatest thing I ever did. A lot of cockpit room. It changes the ride of the boat. The scuppers will not work right. "

Aside from losing any fish due to the bracket, is there anyone that is not happy with a bracket ? Are there any real performance drawbacks ? Why wouldn't I bracket ?

I know this topic has been covered, but I have read and re-read many of the threads and have realized that there is no definitive answer - yet... The beauty of this site is that we are all basically, " in the same boat " luckily, and can be very specific about every aspect of these boats.

Let's get to the bottom of this one.... " To bracket... or not to bracket... that is the question... "
