Default Re: FOURTH OF JULY

I had a kick ass 4th of July here in Sarasota. The town goes crazy as the offshore powerboat races come to town. Going out the pass(inlet for you guys up north) I was follwing a 28ft sea ray who was taking a pounding in mixed 3-4 footers and doing only 16 or so knots. I told my girlfriend to hold onto me as I passed them doing about 27 knots. Man, the boat just got ON TOP OF THE STUFF and rode like a dream as she danced wave to wave. My woman commented and asked why the other boat just didn't go faster if that made the ride smoother. I just gave her a smile and said, your in a Sea Craft baby! The new bracket I put on probably had something to do with keeping my stern in the water as I cut through the slop. Returning North in the gulf there was a moderate chop of 1-2ft but I was able to maintain 32kts at 4900 rpm's and those 115hp 4 strokes just hummed for about an hour till we got home. FYI cutting my motorwell out and adding a bracket dosen't just add fising room for us, it's an ideal place for a deck chair offering a smooth ride for your bikini clad girl.
