Default Pulled the trigger

While you guys were enjoying the festivities in Newport, I was on the road to NH to buy an engine. After two years of saving money to purchase a new engine from either a local dealer or having one shipped up from VA or FL, I found a 2001 225 30" shaft Evinrude ficht still in the crate. It has a warranty until the end of August 2004. I have been following the discussions on this board and others to try and determine what would work best. I was leaning towards the Evinrudes all along.

The 2001 Evinrudes have the same block as the new ones, but have had some issues with the gears in the lower unit. They say that any problems that might show up with the lower unit usually happen within the first 50 - 100 hours. If so Bombardier will replace the unit with a new one.

The deal was spur of the moment, and I think I got an awesome deal. (I hope)

Brand new in crate $7300 to good to pass up.

Back to sanding……
