Default Re: "THE VORTEX"

Ok, I re-read it again.

But first, I opened a beer and started to drink it - that was the missing part for me ! It is absolutely imperative that you drink a beer while reading the directions !

Now, I know how to make it - most versions of it too. Aaah, alcohol !

However, how does it work ? The plastic cup version: the "T" is taped to the vertical, bottom part of the male threads, the "golf ball" is bent over, partially covering the hole. This gets put into the scupper hole from the cockpit.

So, if you were to step aft in the boat while she is not moving, the bent over "golfball" would act as a flap and cover the hole - not letting water in ?????

The (2) track tape cover - no idea what you mean - should I drink vodka for that one ?

Anyway, if that's it - it's great ! Is that it ?

Oh, and what keeps the thing positively plugged into the scupper hole ?

- Alan
