Chris,
Since this vintage of Sceptre sits slightly bow-heavy, it makes any standing water (like rain) flow to the bow at rest. Even though the boat is designed to be self-bailing (scuppers through the transom, no wet feet [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img] ), the water runs forward. My father's Sceptre had the same problem until we shifted some things from the cabin to the stern bilge area (as well as place the OB on a jack plate). Weight in the stern of these boats isn't as critical as the CC's because they have the extra weight of a full winsheild and deck up front to change the balance.
