My 23 has a pipewelders tower with 18' lees single spread riggers and is very stable in all seas ,never felt a bit insecure of it, also makes it great on slow days to observe my spread and look for birds anyway on the other hand somedays I wish I had a T top cant have it all ,my two cents

I concur. I'm not sure what instability you are referring to- roll when drifting? None that I've ever noticed. The original owner took the boat to Newport Beach and had the welded alum. tower built to just encircle the T-top with 6 supports bolted to the floor. Up on the tower is a bench seat for two and a electronics console for radio and gps.
I use two 15' Pompanette outriggers on the tower and one center outrigger on the rocket launcher. I usually spread 5 lures in normal spread plus one on the ctr. rigger way back. Cabo Bob
