Default Re: Pricing & Transoms

It depends on what you are willing/planning to put into the boat and whether or not you will be doing any needed work yourself or professionally.

As to what is it worth? Lately that is a hard question to answer. Just remember what you are willing to spend overall: for the boat and any needed repairs.

The boat in question sounds like it may cost a few dollars, if done by a professional, to get back into shape. If you do it yourself, plan on at least 6-8 weekends of work and a few (2-3) thousand dollars.

Any flexing in a transom would be cause enough for me to replace it. This will be your most time consuming project. 3-4 of the 4-5 weekends quoted. We can help you out with it though. The deck repais should be easy enough, 1-2 weekends. and we may as well add in 1-3 weekends for re-finishing the boat.

Hope this helps.
