My personal crystal ball suggests that the 4strokes will get lighter - they already have compared to the first ones that came out. Just look at the difference in weight between the Honda 130 that has been around a while and the OMC/Suzuki 140 which is somewhat newer.
Just a matter of how long you want to wait. I'm nearing the March 31 deadline on the Suzuki deal, which means my wait is just about over.
