Re: Buying Outboards Over the Phone
Scott-
You, your dad and your brother should be very happy with that Monahan's rebuilt Yami. As i mentioned, Ronnie @ Monahan's rebuilt the 200 Yami that was on my old boat and it ran very, very well. The guy who I sold the boat to, sent me an email last fall and said it was still running beautifully and he was very happy. Say hi to Ronnie and Charlie (service manager) for me the next time you are in there. They are great guys.....too bad everyone knows that....I heard there waiting list for repairs is 8-10 weeks out. |

Re: Buying Outboards Over the Phone
Scott - Do you run a 23'Sceptre? I think my brother Chris (Parnaby) & I may have run into you in Hingham Harbor with your dad before. We're over on the F dock at Tern. (nearest the condo's) I took over my dad's (Art Parnaby) Seafari last year and this is the first year that I have it on the water. Got tired of the trailer lines and idiots at N.Weymouth's ramp. Will be out this weekend chasing the big bass that have been around. Plenty of fish in the 30lb. class being caught with a 49+ and 51+ being taken recently.

Re: Buying Outboards Over the Phone
Hey Ed,
Thanks for the comforting words. I know they do excellent work but it's always nice to hear it firsthand from a customer with experience. By the way, Charlie left Monahan's a few months ago and started his own shop in Scituate with his son. |

Re: Buying Outboards Over the Phone
Scott - I've seen the Seafari in Braintree but it's not me! I live in Rockland. Yea my Dad has really gotten back into the trout the last few years; biggest this year around 5 lbs. He's even talking about getting a flyrod (Argh!!) Next thing you know he'll be wearing one of those pink shirts!
