Sounds like you havce got it dialed in fairly well.
I have a 1977 23 cc, which I just refitted, it has a stainless marine bracket with a 250 HPDI, and I top out at around 48 mph, without any trim tabs, which I will hopefully get soon. Good luck with your boat.
