I WISH I HAD MORE ADVICE WITH EXPERIENCE BUT I AM GOING THROUGH THE SAME DILEMMA AS YOU FOR NOW. I AM REDOING A 23 SEACRAFT FINISHING UP THE FAIRING PROCESS NOW. I GOT 2 QUOTES FOR $6,000 AND ONE FOR $5,000 TO SHOOT THE WHOLE BOAT IN AND OUT. WITH AWLGRIP. THAT’S WHEN I SAID SINCE I HAVE DONE ALL THE REST WHY NOT. TALKED TO THE AWLGRIP GUYS AT THE MIAMI BOAT SHOW AND SENT AWAY AND JUST GOT A TAPE ON HOW TO ROLE AND TIP AWLGRIP HAVEN’T LOOKED AT IT YET BUT FROM ALL THE INFO I HAVE ALREADY GOT YOU CAN ROLE AND TIP WITH VERY GOOD RESULTS. I PERSONALLY WOULD NOT SPRAY THE STUFF I KNOW OF A PERSON WHO SPRAYED HIS BOAT IN HIS GARAGE AND DIED FROM THE PAINT. I ALSO HAVE BEEN TOLD BY TWO SOURCES THAT THE PAINT CO. CALLED STERLING MAKES THE BEST PAINT FOR ROLE AND BRUSH METHOD. I HAVE BOUGHT SOME OF IT AND HAVE BEEN DOING SMALL PIECES LIKE HATCHES AND SUCH LIKE. SO FAR IT HAS BEEN COMING OUT PRETTY GOOD WITH THE EXCEPTION OF DUST GETTING ON THE PAINT AND CAUSING IMPERFECTIONS DUE TO DUST CONTAMINATION. I WILL BE ABLE TO TALK WITH EXPERIENCE IN ABOUT 2 MONTHS FROM NOW BUT FOR NOW SAVING $4,000 AND DOING IT MYSELF SEEMS PRETTY GOOD TO ME. THAT WILL BUY A LOT OF T-TOP, LEANING POST, AND ELECTRONICS.
