Default Re: I'm new here. 23' Tsunami (2) i/o ---> (1 ) i/o ???

abl,
hope my email helped out;as to your repower,a single i/o to single i/o replacement would be the easiest and most cst effective,unless yu have your eye on a twin i/olready,it might make more sense to find a single and do the repower.As i mntioned,my '74 23' tsunami was repowered with a 260 efi alfa,and im very happy with the performance ad economy.As for cost,transom and engine beds replacement should run about 4000 to 5000(cost me 4000 in '99)motor and drive purchase and installation about 11000,not including any wiring upgrades or guage replacement.As you can see ,the numbers add up quickly!However when you consider that a viable replacementsuch as a 24 albemarle cuddy w/ single i/o will run at least 50,000 seems worth it to me-at least thats how i rationalized spending 25,000 fixing up a 30 year old boat!
good luck,any questions,drop me a line
