Default Re: Mr. Sirotnak's 1973 23 CC

Bill - I'm interested to get some more info on those rod holders ..does that company have a web site??

As far as the flex problem....it only has movement on the inboard side of the cap.....(as opposed to where the cap attaches to the hull, the outboard side its rock solid) so you could lift up on that 4" vertical surface(coaming) and it would deflect or move on you....I guess you could say it twists. If you stood on the gunwale that 4" vertical surface/coaming would deflect towards the inside of the hull. As of right now the deck cap gunwale/gunnel is not secured real good, as where it attaches to that vertical chase for the fuel line, the screws have really worn big holes where they go through the 4" vertical coaming and into the chase(time to break out the epoxy/glass).

Does that make sense???? I know I'm starting to confuse myself now!!!!
