Hooper,
Like you, I too was towed back yesterday, but I was off Scituate. We hit something on our way out to Cape Cod Bay looking for school bluefin. We think it might have been either an ocean sunfish or a whale because of the way the engine reacted when we struck the object - no loud thunk and no violent kick-up of the engine, just a very soft and slow bump. We'll know this week if we're in the market for a new engine also, it wouldn't shift into forward or reverse. Since the engine is an '89 with about 800 hours, we have to decide if it's worth fixing or buying new.
