This is making a great fishing story, already grew to 60lbs!

This piece was cut/pasted from the ONTHEWATER.com fishing report.

"
Captain Dennis DeCarney and Peter Santini from Fishing FINatics in Everett reported that Nick Fondulis nabbed a 60-pound bluefin that took his silver/black Rapala CD18 as he trolled along Stellwagen. This guy was prepared, as he had brought along a video camera with him that he strapped to his neck and taped the whole affair - talk about cool under pressure! Flounder are hitting well near the 2, 4, and 6 Cans in Boston Harbor. Surfcasters lobbing seaworms into the surf of Revere Beach are finding hungry cows in the suds. "

Any possibility that the bluefin might be in ipswich bay?
I was out yesterday and saw small birds working and would occassional see "something splashing" at the surface and then would follow a line of bubbles that would surface every 25 yards for about a quarter of a mile. Nothing showed up on Furuno fishfinder.....thought it might have been pilot whales because of bubbles but....never saw anything on screen. Than

I casted a deadly dick into the fray and snagged a very, very small fish (about the size of a half dollar). Not sure what is was.......

Ed,
There's a very good chance they are in the area. A guy I know in Gloucester landed a 83# on the fly 1/2 mile out of the harbor over the weekend.

Guys,

I tried again on yesterday. Furuno was very quiet from the NE corner/beyond. Only 1 whale, few basking sharks. Few boats. Jigged up a few cod instead.

I must have passed them.

Great calm day othe water for a small craft advisory!

Ed,
next snag, re-hook and send back down!

I tried yesterday in CCBay heard that there were footballs out there but I could not find anything. Lots of boats livelining blues but nothing on the fish finder. What a nice day, Nick next time your out there give me a shout on 68 or 9 "Erica D" I was out about three miles from P-Town should have no problem hearing you from there. If the weather cooperates I might try off Chatham this weekend depending on the wind. Due to the big swells Chatham inlet was very scary this weekend so I fished the bay instead. Saturday after I checked my lobster traps I snuck out to the inlet to check it out and was amazed, low tide with huge breakers curling over the channel markers no thanks I'll fish the bay instead.
