On my 23 with the Potter bracket, twin 135 Rudes, 100 gals fuel, the water line is about 2" from the chine. I can stand on the platform and stay dry even at 300 lbs. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
Plus the boat flies 40 knots WOT. I believe there were some tests done on the site where twins burn less fuel and trust me 135s were more than enuf!! One member is running 115s Suzis and he has been happy.
I didn't go with the metal brackets cuz mine is staying in the water and Potter's bracket is completely enclosed floatation so you don't rely on a 2" strip to keep water out. I now have the room of a 25. It was more money but worth it to me. I posted some pics in the classicseacraft folder in boatzone.
