Default Re: can I get any ideas about prop size?

Capt Brad

what top speed are you getting with the 17p Mirage. I have a 73 20ft SC with 200Merc (Carb) tops out at 48 mph.I was running a 19pitch and was doing 50mph but my low end speed is better now those extra 400rpm help when facing rough seas in the 3000rpm range. I was thinking of going to a Laser 19P less (diameter) and quicker. Application for the Mirage is big boat with big HP. While the Laser is for small boats with big HP.
