That Laser prop is a good prop. If it is one of the newer ones with a Flo-Torq hub, then it will be fine, should you decide to hit something with it....if the prop is not one of the newer styles, then maybe you could upgrade to it?

Going to alum would not give you the performance the SS does.

I just about killed my 21 Laser, though a wonderful plastic surgeon was able to revive it, and at no time did I have any damage to the lower unit. Of course I had to buy a new hub kit but, since they are made up of plastic and a bronze insert, it was no big deal..I would stay with the Laser, simply because it is nice prop. Check Ebay!!!!
