Otto,
What's going on around the outdrive? There looks to be a triangular shape that's a different color than the hull.

Good to see the inspector approves.

Having bought her sight unseen, it's hard to say what's up with the transom. Knowing that replacing the transom is a foregone conclusion, it doesn't matter much. It looks like someone made an effort to repair the area and didn't finish. That's what you get when you let the "inspector" do your due dillegence instead of surveying for yourself.

I know Don has an 88 HP on this hull. Any idea what would be the smallest OB to push her at a 25 MPH cruise moderately loaded? I'm thinking 90 or 115.

Chris & Scott - you guys are like 2 little boys - that like to be bad. But I have to admit Scott, your image of Finster in my new Moesly looks just like him...

Oh, yea, I already have a name for her - Mr. Moesly ...

Very nice, they sure don't get more classic than that one. Great buy too! Lots of luck Otto.- Paul
BTW: I did a web search for a museum in Florida or anywhere for that matter, dedicated to power boat racing and development where you might find a Mosley SeaCraft 21 and I don't think one exists. Does anyone know if there is one?

PF, thats been our thoughts too. If one can be found I am sure someone here will find it. But my gut tells me that they're weren't many of them built and the only mass produced Moesly hull is the one Otto and Don have. That would be cool to find one of those early 21's.

The 65 Moesly 19 Bowrider arrived today via RAD Transport from St. Louis:

The good new is that the transom seems fine, as does the motor and driveline. Even the floor is solid. But she has a lot of hairline cracks throughout the hull and interior.

Bottom line is that to do her justice, I would have to remove the cap and liner, make glass repairs, paint and put her back together and re-wire her. No small task, but a funn project for 2006...
