Ha Strick the Boat looks really Sweet and it’s getting close to Christening her with a bottle of your favorite Beer. As for the list it’s the tilt of the motor, but even if is wasn’t once you stand on the port side of the helm where you set up the wheel it will be perfect anyway. I would call that a planned list at worst. I put my batteries, oil, and a 15 gal fresh water tank in my center consol knowing if I needed to I could move that stuff around if I needed to.

Thanks Fellowship. I have tried to keep the boat as balanced as I could along the restoration process. Both batteries are in the concel one on each side. The oil tank is in the middle of the transom cap. Has to be the dam motor but I wish that I would have checked while I was there. I did lower the motor but I dont remember checking for the list. Cant wait to get it back from the shop. They have had it for 5 days and not called as of yet. I'll bet they have not touched her yet at any rate I have a few days to work on the cc door and insert. When she is all done I'll post some pretty pic's of her before and after.

Strick-
She looks "wicked pissah." Seriously, I love it...especially the pipe work on the t-top. Is that paint or powder coat?? Keep us posted on how the bracket holds up....I still can't believe you made one! Congrats! Ed |

Thanks Ed. That means a lot coming from you. I know that you see a lot of boats being in the business and all. The aluminum tubing is powder coated. I will do the same to the bow rail when I get that done. The float test is with 1/2 tank of fuel (about 60 gallons). Boat is still in the shop for the engine check up. I went down the other day and put the heat on them to get started. It was there for a week and they did not touch it.

Strick,
I've been meaning to tell you what a terrific job you have done on your renovation. The custom work is great. I, for one, sincerely appreciate the updates you have consistantly put forth for us to see the progress, learn a thing or three and motivate us to start (or finish) a project of our own. It a project to be proud of and really, a lifetime achivement of sorts. Thank you for sharing it with us and best of luck with the final tweeking... Enjoy! Our Jack Russell Terrier, "Santa Cruz", a die hard center console dog and part owner of (3) SeaCrafts, wishes his DVM was as cool as you. He also wishes that some of your motivation to finish your project would rub off on his owner...

Strick:
This might be a dumb question, but why can't you get White Bottom paint in CA? Bill |

Lots of kind words....you guys are great. I've recieved a ton of help from you fellas since I found this site over a year ago and I appreciate it. This site is a valuable source of info for anyone who is interested in these great boats. I may have a source for the white botom paint in Reno. A friend lives in Nevada and makes regular trips up here. The Petitt White bottom paint is not available in California for reasons that I am unaware. Probably chemical regulations. Thanks for all the help.
