2 days sitting in the water, you will be safe to Awlgrip the bottom. If you plan on it being in the water longer use bottom paint. Don't Awlgrip the bottom and then put bottom paint over it.

I've seen Awlgrip blister several times. About five years ago I surveying an older glass Trawler that had been Awlgriped from the cabin roof down. The boat was mint and had been bottom painted. When the was hauled the bottom looked like it had chicken pocks. The biggest blister was maybe the size of the dia of a pencil eraser, most were a 1/3 that size. At first sight I'm thinking some kind of weird gelcoat blistering, so I started popping a few of them where the bottom paint had come off the surface. What came off was paper thin and you could pop each one with your finger nail easily..and the gelcoat was fine under each. Then it dawned on me it was Awlgrip under the bottom paint. The boat being a 8-9kt boat didn't move fast enough to tear them off, but if it had been a 30-40mph boat it probably would have stripped most of the Awlgrip off there were so many of them. I mean we're talking 1000's of little blisters on a 28ft boat.. After I figured out what was going on and explained it to the buyer he bought the boat with a nice price reduction because of it. He told me a few weeks later that his marina stripped most of the Awlgrip off the bottom with a pressure washer right to the waterline. The rest came off with a little soda blasting. Fresh coat of bottom paint and the boat was fine..
