Default Save the old Johnson!

Hello to all. Looking for a resource for used parts. My 1980 Johnson 70needs a timing base. No longer in production and not available nationwide. Really would like to hunt redfish with the whaler rather than the Seacraft. Thanks. Vezo.

VEZO GOOD NEWS BUDDY, I JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH MY MECHANIC AND HE TOLD ME HE HAS SEVERAL TIMING BASES LAYING AROUND. HE SAYS HE WANTS $100.00 FOR IT, I AM NOT SURE IF IT'S A GOOD PRICE OR NOT AS I HAVE NEVER PRICED THEM OUT BEFORE. LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU WANT TO DO, IF YOU LIKE I CAN GIVE YOU HIS INFO AND YOU CAN DEAL WITH HIM DIRECTLY. TALK TO YOU LATER, ALEX

Alex, Thanks for the help. Located one used in Texas for 95.00 and called my mechanic. Believe it or not, he is going back to carburation! Tides will be better for him on Monday, so right now we're all standing by. Thanks for the work- I appreciate it. Will post on Tuesday. Vezo.
