I've noticed a leak in my helm now that the weather turned cold. I don't know the model # since the label is rubbed through but I believe it is a HH50. Anyone know where I can get a seal kit and how difficult this is to rebuild?
Also, If I need to replace, can I mix and match a new Sea Star helm unit with my existing old Hynautic resevoir and cylinder? Dink |

I got you covered like a "jimmy hat". I have a Hynautic system thats half/coming off the vette your wecome to it.

These guys are 1000x times more helpful than teleflex customer service. I'm certainly no expert, but from what I have read you can use the seastar helm with hynautic cylinders. The nice part about the seastar helm is that the reservoir is built in and you don't need the pressurize the system with a air pump (like you do with the hynautic system). On the other hand . . . those hynautic systems are built to last for a long time. I've taken apart an h-50 helm and it's a beautiful piece of engineering and machine work. ![]() |
