when it comes to fuel tanks this is what i do: pull tank send it to patriot marine in ware town nj danny builds me an exact duplicate than i epoxy coat it replace all fuel system hosing at the same time also check the bond/ground system of both the tank an dthe fuel fill reair/replace wiring if needed as a general guide line aluminum fuel tanks are good for between 8-10 years after that you may be asking for trouble-avoid the tanks that are not made by a tank mfgr the fuel tank must have a build certificate on it stating who built it what it is made from thickness and pressure test info with out that sticker DO NOT INSTALL!!!
