Swim Platform Install ?

I'm having my drive put on tomorrow just so I can see how far up she tilts. I probably will throw her in the water to confirm the water line ( after full tank and boat fully loaded ). I was thinking that I would mount the platform 3-4" over the water line. Does that sound about right ?

I am fairly sure that the bottom bolts will be under water. If so, I will probably over size drill the holes and fill with epoxy to avoid any rot. How many inches, over your waterline, is your transom mounted ?
