The bunks are 52 1/4" apart(inside). I think you will find that the otter edge of the chine is where most of the stringer is. I have never had any problems with the boat sitting on those chines. If I were to move the bunks in they would interfere with my thru hull pick ups. Also the farther out the bunks are placed,the more stability the boat has on the trailer. You will also notice that I made a "V" bunk on the back cross member. This guides the boat into the exact position every time you load it. Because of the deep V, it cannot shift too port or starboard. I will post another picture showing how the boat sits on the trailer [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] Quote:
