Hi Guys,
Another update, took the boat out on a fishing trip numbers read out 61 miles traveled, total fuel burn 15.7 gallons burned. Topped off fuel, took 15.1 gallons to fill, not bad! This trip included high speed runs, trolling, trolling a live bait at 700 rpm and a high speed run home. The Optimax runs smoooooth, hardly any fumes and hardly uses oil. Really like the Digital Throttle and Shift system,I set my desired RPM and it holds the setting without any problems. Caught 3 good sized Mahimahi, one was 45 pounds on a triple strike which woke me up real quick. Very Happy with this new Optimax motor,it was worth the wait and aggravation, kinda sucked to miss the Tuna season though. Looking at the big picture I count my blessings and hope all of you who have been impacted by Katrina and Rita are doing OK and are safe and sound. We had Hurricane Jova miss us by 350 miles and now have Hurricane Kenneth getting started with another forming up behind it. Bad year for storms. Oceanwarrior7447 |

15 gallons for 61 miles of boating is pretty good.
Enjoy the fishing and post some shots of the fish if you can |

Hi Guys,
With all the action going on in the Atlantic,The Central Pacific Hurricane Center which covers Hawaii gets no national recognition. Anyway,Hurricane Jova missed the island of Hawaii by 350 miles last week. We have Hurricane Kenneth, now Tropical Storm Kenneth bearing down on us and is forecast to pass over the island of Hawaii on Saturday so it`s batten down the hatches and make all preparations for heavy weather. That definitely means fishing is out of the question for this weekend! Been taking notice most SeaCraft boats are on the East Coast. There are a few SeaCraft Boats that have made it to Hawaii, possibly about 15 in the state. Like all SeaCraft owners,we LOVE the Boat for it`s sea keeping qualities,I know of one SeaCraft that has been passed to the owner`s son and the grandson wants the Boat passed to him! oceanwarrior |

Yeah man, be safe and get ready for the worst and hope for the best, we've already had 3 this year but thank goodness all's well. Say hi to my son in Honolulu!
