I put right around $40K into a 1971 20' (that includes the trailer), so you can go as high or low as you want. Putting that amount into a 23' restoration would have yielded a pretty nice boat as well but the 20' was better suited to my primary needs: fly and light tackle fishing within 15 miles of shore and typically alone.
