A bit of a long way off as in too far in advance or too long of a trip for the 23'?
I asked the same questions on another site and got a lot of replies that it's too long of a trip for a 23'. I really don't see this being a bad trip. I know it's not as far but I've been to Sag Harbor in a 21' bowrider. I thought this would be easier than that to be honest. This boat is a fair amount longer, deeper V, higher freeboard. Don't have to cross the sound, plenty of places to stop along the coast for gas/shelter (as compared to north shore LI). Anyway, as far as last minute arrangements go, did I mention that it's boat show weekend? I'll only be doing the trip if the weather window is perfect but, if I don't have something lined up ahead of time, I'll definitely shoot you an email. I don't need anything fancy, just a safe place to leave it. We'll be staying at the Newport Bay Club.
