Patriot,
There is no way those engines are '86s. You might want to get the serial #s from the owner to confirm. The '80s vintage Yamahas were all gray with black lettering, and a squarer engine cover. The engines on this boat look like mid-'90s at the oldest.

Sorry, meant to say 1996. They are 1996 SW Series. As robust an engine as they have proven to be, they are still 9 years old which dampers my interest. Two 200 HPDIs or F-150's would set me back another 25K before it's over.

Nice looking boat. I am thinking about taking a mid-80's sceptre and doing the same thing.
