Default Re: Leaky thru hull question

I am not sure if I understand this thread. Let me get this straight, we are talking about the forward deck storage hatch on a cc23. Right? If you have seepage why would that matter? Water comes in and water goes out. There is no place that water can get into the hull since it does not drain into the bilge. My main concern it the deck hatch does little to keep rain water out. I have tried weather stripping with some limited success.

My front drain hole is usually plugged with a rubber plug from the inside. The hole is above the waterline when docked. When on plane with the hatch open there appears to be no leakage. Mine does have the plastic thingee but I am going to leave it alone for now.
