What kind of “weather” do you typically see out there?? I ask cause the kids will not be comfy in the cuddy if its rough. BUT If you mean you want more protection like a hard top and curtains around the windshield then the sceptre would be a good choice.

As far as ride …. Scott is dead on. The boat pivots back by or on the transom when its planing. So the further aft you move the smoother the ride. Be it a 12’ aluminum boat with 10hp or a larger sportfisher with 1000hp….Its always a tough ride forward and smoother as you move aft when running. The Savage would be a great blend of both worlds for you.
