Default Re: Jupiter, Fl Fishing Advice

Well guys, my son and I took three half day charters on the Samana. $70 per head for a four hour trip. The boat is located right at the Jupiter inlet and only about a 20 to 25 minute ride the fishing grounds (65 feet to 140 feet of water).

We caught a little of everything inlcuding, mutton snapper, yellow tail snapper, porgies, grouper, ocean bonito, king makeral, dolphin and misc garbage fish.

The bonito are the same fish that we call false ablacore up north. The only difference is that our fish run about 5 to 10 pounds where we caught some in Jupiter that were over 25 pounds. They were a pisser to catch. Also, we caught these fish called blue runners (do I have that right Florida boys?) and there some big bull sharks under them. Several times the bull sharks would grab your fish as you were bringing them in.

All in all, it was a fun time.

Peter
