Well fellas after (4) weeks this Friday of not posting, I am back in spirits to start posting again. (4)weeks ago I spent two days in the hospital with very serious back & chest pain that just came on unexpectedley, come to find out after a series of test were done I have two herniated disc in my thorasic and I have been in a special brace that covers my whole chest & back since then, it's called a TLSO, they also have me on several meds. I have (2)more weeks to go before they redo the MRI to determine how it's healing and for how much longer I have to where the brace. Originally they estimated 6-8 weeks, I am hoping that stays true. I dont know what is going to be my status by the time the tourny comes around, things are just to uncertain right now. I am trying to be as positive as I can so I will remain hopeful that I will be able to participate, when it comes time to being realistic it's more likely that I will not be fishing the tourny or this summer. I will keep you guys posted

Sounds awful! Sorry to hear you've been going thru all that. Seems like this year has been hard on quite a few of us, my sister passed away in January and my father just a couple of weeks ago. Please take good care of yourself and don't worry about the tourney, if necessary we can reschedule for a later time.

Well, I'm out. Today I found out my engine has seized up for unknown reasons since it ran fine before we repaired the outdrive, good oil, no water intrusion, etc. Darn thing won't turn even with the plugs out. Now I'll have to look into a new engine so I don't think I'll have a boat for the tournament.

I'm not sure but my mechanic says that the Mercruiser 3.0 liters tend to do that if you don't turn them over once every 3 months or so. Since mine was laid up since Dec. perhaps that's what happened. I was told to fill up the cylinders with Marvel's Mystery Oil and leave it for a few days. I did that today and will be back from the USVI on Wednesday so we'll see if that does the trick. Oh well, but the good news is that the wife agrees that we should repower her soon so I'm starting to look for deals! Let me know if you know any Mercruiser dealers with good prices.

As for the tournament I accept the invite. Let me know what to bring besides the fishing gear. Thanks!

Botapeje
Thanks for the offer to help. We have 3 boats committed so far and time is short. There doesn't seem to be much interest in fishing but it's a great opportunity to meet other SeaCraft owners and compare boats.

I'm wondering if we would get more participation if we dropped the fishing and made it a family SeaCraft gathering instead. Let's see how many we can get if we make it a Bar-B-Que at 1:00. It would be a more relaxing day and easier for famlies to participate. I will start a new thread for the Bar-B-que and see if we have any interest.
