No, that is the Saugus River! ... RT1 is underneath ...

Damn RT. 1 is cursed today. My truck took a dump on RT 1 in Revere.....stupid alternator crapped out.

Anyway, I was on my way to check on my boat/marina which is located on the Merrimac River in Newburyport. After 12-17 inches of rain, the river is 9ft above flood stage and is expected to crest sometime this evening. Here are some pictures from this afternoon showing the damage. By the time I arrived this evening....the docks where in much worse shape. Out of 260 slips....I would say that maybe 25 are useable. The rest have either been splintered or floated away. As of 8 pm.....all of teh boats had been towed away except for the 5-6 that sunk in their slips.

I'm just this year getting back into fly fishing for trout, especially around Westford MA. It's hard to imagine what the tranquil little stream I was casting dry flies to brookies on last week looks like now.....

I feel your pain!!
This was the view from the house Monday, 3.5 miles to the
north of us on I-95 in Edgewater, FL.
