For what it's worth, I have a pretty good bit of experience with the 25 and the 23. Short answer to your question is NO. Of the 25' boats that I have been involved with one had transom problems right out of the gate. You really don't get a better ride at all offshore over the 23' and you have to run a thisty twin engines. I am in the boat business in a pretty big way and unfortunately I don't believe that the new Sea Crafts have the fit and finish or the quality of some of their competitors for the money. They do still however have a great ride. I personally feel that weight has little do do with ride - it's all about the design of the bottom of the boat.
