Accessories
I'm giving the 20 a break for the time being. Bad weather, Darkness and a lack of motivation are some of the reasons. But I've not been totally slacking. For a while now I've wanted to put a bait station and another set of rod holders on the transom cap of my 23. Today I finally got it done. Here are a few pics.
      Here is a screw up I did a while back. I spent about 4 hours making a carbon fiber dash. I was careful to drill the holes thru the clear epoxy and backing but when I placed the screws to hold the gauges and instruments I got some cracks. The cracks did not show up until about a week later. I will be junking this dash and placing a wood dash sometime in the future. If I were to do it over again I would heat the drill bit and push it thru the clear epoxy then drill the rest of the way thru. I would also use bolts instead of the stock wood screws that came with the switches. The bolts would have to be black like the screws. Live and learn. I also installed the Navman so I will be posting some numbers soon with the Suzuki 250. It looks like my cruising speed is 28 knots burning 12GPH at around 4400 rpm. More indept numbers will follow. Ouch - now I need to rethink my CF dash. If the GlassVet can't git'r done, I'll sure screw it up....
